  Combining a rich and varied cultural programme with breathtaking Russian scenery, this tour is truly a must for anyone interested in exploring the fascinating complexities of Russian history and enjoying the mellow beauty of Russian nature. You will start your discovery of Russia from the beautiful city of St Petersburg, a unique treasure of the world’s cultural heritage. You’ll then move on to the powerful magnificent, city of Moscow via some beauty spots in Northern Russian, and the old provincial towns of the “Golden Ring” route. The Golden Ring is the name given to the chain of ancient towns around Moscow, each one of which played a significant part in Russian history. These towns contain a whole collection of architectural masterpieces, set in the charming landscape of central Russia. This 11-day cruise along several Russian rivers, linked by the Moscow Canal and the Baltic Waterway, is the perfect opportunity for a leisurely exploration of these beautiful Russian landscapes and ancient towns, with their impressive selection of historical and architectural gems. 

Another pleasant discovery during this trip will be the authentic flavours of the celebrated Russian cuisine, which as prepared by our skilled chefs will delight every one of our guests. We will cruise the intricate pattern of interconnecting rivers, canals and lakes that link Moscow with St. Petersburg, including the beautiful river Volga, the biggest in Russia. Day 1 Arrival in St. Petersburg. Transfer from the airport to the ship. Welcoming cocktail reception in the evening.
Day 2 City tour around St. Petersburg. Visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress.
Day 3 Visit to the Hermitage, housed in the former Tsars’ Winter Palace.
Day 4 Visit to the authentic village of Mandrogi.
Day 5 Arrival to the Island of Kizhi via the Volga/Baltic Canal. Visit the renowned open-air Museum of Wooden Architecture, the Church of the Transfiguration, the Kizhi museum (UNESCO World Heritage site).
Day 6 Arrival to Goritsy. Visit to the largest monastery of the Russian North - Kirillo-Belozersky monastery.
Day 7 Arrival in the city Yaroslavl. City tour including visit to the Spaso-Preobrazgenskiy Monastery, the Church of the Prophet Elijah and other cultural highlights.
Day 8 Arrival in an old town Uglich. Visit to the Cathedral of the Resurrection and the Kremlin. Farewell Gala dinner onboard
Day 9 Guided city tour around Moscow. Visit to the Novodevichy Convent (UNESCO World Heritage site). Optional - a performance at the famous Bolshoi Theatre (by request).
Day 10 Visit the Kremlin and its Orthodox cathedrals. An optional guided tour to the Pushkin Museum or the Kremlin Armoury Museum.
Day 11 Breakfast. Transfer to airport for the flight back to the UK.

  • A museum of Russian Vodka in Remeslennaya Sloboda, where you can learn about the technology and history of Russian vodka production.
