Best of Trans-Mongolian: Moscow - Yekaterinburg - Irkutsk - Baikal - Mongolia - Beijing (TS-11)

What a fantastic experience made all the better by your excellent organization and the wonderful guides we met - Sergei in Moscow, Ivan in Irkutsk, Tamir in Ulaan Bataar and 'Daniel' in Beijing. They were all well informed about their cities and countries, flexible in their approach to our requests and just good company. e were met on time and delivered to our trains on time. The various accommodations were very good and appropriate to the locations. All in all it was the most memorable time we have spent on a holiday - thank you.
Brenda Crouch The guides were brilliant, and we would have struggled greatly had the guides not assisted us with the transfers. To have transfers to and from the train was the most valuable part of the trip!! It was all good but the guide Orgil and the tour in Mongolia to a Ger tent with the nomadic family was the most amazing experience. It was all very well organised, the hotels, staff, guides and tours all went very well and we were pleased with all that we saw.

The accommodations were as advertised. The food was very good and mostly arranged to give us examples of local cuisine. The guides were helpful and flexible. Bill Grenalgh Most of our guides were fantastic - in particular the Beijing and Yekaterinburg guys. The Beijing guide made several unscheduled stops on our request and really made us love the city. The whole trip was very well organized in terms of timings and transfers - it all ran incredibly smoothly.

The best part of the trip was in Mongolia, our guide and driver were very nice, the family stay was a lifetime experience I will never forget. We felt very welcome and part of their daily lives. This is a great tour if you like me is independent traveller, as a woman I never felt in danger, I liked that a local guide was collecting me all the time, it gave me the opportunity to get more out of the culture, and the feel for the country.
