The maximum capacity of the camp hotel is 24 places (18 in 9 double rooms and 6 in 2 triple rooms, also available as doubles). Every room has its own entrance. The rooms have shower, toilet, TV (satellite including English channels), under-floor heating in toilets and in lobby where tourists can leave their skis. On the camp grounds there are volleyball and football fields, fire pits, hills for sledging. There is also a ski rental office, sauna, café and bar. The traditional Russian dinners will be served in the cafe. The closest store is in the village 3 km from the camp. There is also a small village next to the camp (approximately 20 houses but some are only used during the summer).

NOTE ON TRANSPORTATION
  • For transportation within Russia we use comfortable 4 berth compartments however, upgraded 2 berth compartments are also available. There is little difference between 1st and 2nd Class other than the number of berths contained in the cabins and slightly more space in 1st Class. Compared to the coach transfer, overnight train transportation is much quicker, more comfortable and also more cost-efficient as travellers save both time for their daily activities and money on the hotel accommodation. Carriages usually contain nine compartments and are serviced by two attendants (conductors). Clean linen, including sheets, towels, blankets and pillows, are provided for each berth. Apart from the full bedding, the compartments have personal reading lights, a big window and a small table. Train cabins have a sufficient amount of storage space for luggage. The 2 bottom bunks can be lifted to provide access to storage compartments. There is additional overhead storage space. There are facilities to provide hot water for drinks in every carriage and a basic but adequate bathroom is located at each end of every carriage. The bathroom contains a sink with running water and a toilet however, most trains do not have shower facilities. Hot water is always available. Cabins can be locked from the inside and attendants keep a very close eye on what is happening in their wagon. As a result, trains are one of the safest means of travel within Russia.
  • To get to Kizhi island we will take the hovercraft, which can easily move both on water and ice.
