A bus tour around the city. Enjoy a panoramic view of Moscow from the “Sparrow Hills” observation platform, visit “Poklonnaya Hills” - monument in honour of victory in the Great World War. Free time.
Day 3
You will see the Kremlin, St. Basil's cathedral, Red Square and the world-renowned Lenin Mausoleum. On request we can arrange a visit to the Armoury. After lunch in the centre of Moscow a guided tour of the Moscow Underground and the Old Arbat street, famous for its architectural masterpieces and souvenirs. Free time in the very centre of Moscow.
In the evening transfer to the railway station to catch your train to Siberia.
Day 4-6
Railway journey from Moscow to Irkutsk covering 5,191 km through Nizhni Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. We can organise a city tour in any of these cities at your request.
Day 7
Arrival in Irkutsk. A bus city tour around Irkutsk. Visit the Regional Museum. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 8
Travel by bus to Listvyanka village. Visit the open air Wooden Architecture Museum in Taltsy, the Baikal Lake Museum and the St. Nicolas Russian Orthodox Church. Enjoy a boat tour on Lake Baikal. In the evening experience a real Siberian banya (optional). Overnight in a traditional wooden house.
Day 9
Free time in the morning. Explore the local village and the Lake Baikal area. Return to Irkutsk in the evening to catch a train to Mongolia.
Day 10
On train. On board we quickly settle in and enjoy unforgettable views of steppes stretching from horizon to horizon.
Day 11
Arrive in Mongolia. Travel by bus to Terelj National Park. Visit a real Nomad family. Overnight in a Ger camp (summer) or in a wooden lodge (winter).
Day 12
Transfer to Ulan Bator. Visit Gandan Hiid Monastery, the country’s largest remaining monastery, the Buddhist Temple, and the Museum of Natural History. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 13
In the morning take a train to Beijing.
Day 14
Arrival in Beijing. Visit the Temple of Heaven. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 15
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Imperial palace, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace. In the evening enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner. Stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 16
Trip to the Ming Tomb and the Great Wall. In the evening enjoy a unique acrobatic show. Stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 17
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take your plane back to the UK.
