Classical Trans-Mongolian: Moscow - Irkutsk - Baikal - Mongolia - Beijing (TS-01)

The guide and accommodation in Mongolia at the Ger Camp was superb! We felt very much at home in our tents and would have liked to stay much longer :)

Bill Grenalgh Most of our guides were fantastic - in particular the Beijing and Yekaterinburg guys. The Beijing guide made several unscheduled stops on our request and really made us love the city. The whole trip was very well organized in terms of timings and transfers - it all ran incredibly smoothly.
Chris Bell All the transfers went smooth and the guides were very knowledgeable and professional. The hotels were very good. The best part of the trip was in Mongolia, our guide and driver were very nice, the family stay was a lifetime experience I will never forget. We felt very welcome and part of their daily lives. This is a great tour if you like me is independent traveller, as a woman I never felt in danger, I liked that a local guide was collecting me all the time, it gave me the opportunity to get more out of the culture, and the feel for the country.

Clare Finn It was a fabulous holiday - the trip of a lifetime that we had hoped for. I'd dreamed of visiting Mongolia since I was a child and the experience far surpassed all our expectations. Riding the Mongol horses and camels with a native horseman singing at our sides is something we will never forget, as well as the hospitality and warm welcome received everywhere. Train to China - an experience! The bogey changing in the sheds at the border, followed by the surreal greeting at Erlian station, amused us greatly! We had a wonderful time and you've given us memories to cherish forever.
Fiona Beijing had excellent pick ups and the train went smoothly. Mongolia was excellent. Both the accommodation and superb guide made this a very memorable part of our trip. The tickets for the train have all gone well and the accommodation in Russia has been good.
Rachel Steinreich Zivile, the train journey was all we expected it to be and more. We had a fabulous time on the full journey. We then spent a week in Beijing and are now in Malaysia (Penang) for another week. Oh Yes we did take Vodka on the train (actually two bottles) and drank the way the Russians would eating all the time unfortunately we could not get it in the fridge to keep it cold.
Tonny Mangan Our guides were excellent and very informative, showing us the many sides of Russian history and culture. All the accomodation was spotless and the staff in all places were helpful and polite... Even our driver who picked us up at the train station and also brought us to the airport was lovely - and while he was driving us would also point out different sites and tell us little things about the areas we were driving through.
Naomi Butler I have to say that the hotels were very good; the food good apart from what appears to be a pathological fear of vegetables; the trains well run and very punctual and our meetings and transfers perfectly satisfactory. At no time did we ever feel threatened. In fact the locals with whom we came in contact were always very pleasant. Many thanks to all of you for all the work involved in pulling this together.
