St. Petersburg, Russia is going to celebrate its 308th anniversary! Don’t miss this event if you are anywhere near the centre of the city. May 27th is an official date of City Day in St. Petersburg. Celebrations start today May 21st.

- 17:00-23:00 “Karaoke: St. Petersburg Style”. The event will be held at the St. Isaac Square. Song lyrics will be shown on huge screens installed at the square. Everyone can sing songs dedicated to St. Petersburg
- Traditional laying on of flowers to Peter the Great Monument
- 22:50 Great Fireworks show will be seen from both Neva river banks.
- Circus troop from Marsel, France and unique theater “Krakatun” will give performances at city streets and squares.
- Jazz program from Andrey Makarevich includes Arturo Sandoval, one of world’s best known jazz musicians from Havana, Cuba.
- The hit of the celebration programme is going to be a parade of Baltic Old-style steam ships which will be berthed near the Peter and Paul Fortress. Everyone will be able to take a tour at one of these ships named “Turso”
