Russian Christmas Holidays in January

Russia celebrates New Year on 31 December and Orthodox Christmas on 07 January. However, the festive period lasts from 01 January for 10 days. Please note, if you contact your Russian partners during the first 10 days in January do not expect prompt response as almost all the country is on holiday.

Please note, if your tour requires us getting confirmation from Russia first (mainly Russian river cruises), we will send you a definite tour confirmation on 11 January 2010.

Please also note, the Russian local consulates and embassies follow the national festive schedule and will be closed, no Russian visa will be issued until 11 January 2010.
