Development of tourism in Kamchatka region

A government programme "Development of tourism in Kamchatka region for 2010-2012" has been approved, providing for 52 million investment (over £1 million).

The funds will be spent mainly on tour guides training and further development, professional hotel management and catering; Kamchatka region participation at major International and local exhibitions and trade shows, local festival and events.

Kamchatka region is getting more popular among foreign tourists visiting Russia and those whishing to explore remote and non-standard destinations.
