The Geyser Valley in Kamchatka is closed for the public until 25 June

The Month of Silence is declared in Uzon-Geyser area of Kronotsky reserve in Kamchatka. This means that the valley of river Geyser and caldera of volcano Uzon are officially closed for tourists until 25 June.

Bears’ "weddings" became the reason for the closure. Apart from that the birds are building their nests very actively at this time of the year.

According to scientists the tour groups are becoming a major factor of stress for the majority of the inhabitants of the valley.
