Hilton opens new hotels in Russia

Hotel chain, Hilton Worldwide, has signed a contract to open five new hotels in the Russian Federation by 2014.
The contract was announced by Hilton's Russia and CIS Business Director, Vladimir Ilyichev, at a "Real Estate in Russia" summit in Moscow.

Hilton already has two hotels in Russia – the Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya and in Perm. Ilyichev announced there will be two more before the end of this year.

"In the third quarter of this year we also expect to open two hotels, one under the Doubletree by Hilton brand in Novosibirsk and a 379 room Hilton in Gelendzhik."

He mentioned that Hilton will also open two Hilton Garden Inn hotels in Sochi by 2012, prior to the 2014 Siochi Winter Olympics, and that it would open a 224 room Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Perm by 2013.
