Miniature toy soldiers exhibition in the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum

The Irkutsk Regional Art Museum, which has a rich collection of Siberian fine art, presents the exhibition of military history miniature toys for boys. The exhibition features a collection of soldier models, demonstrating the Soviet army during the Great Patriotic War, as well as soldier models of the French Foreign Legion, XVII century Russian archers, knights etc. Some models of Soviet military equipment will be on display too.

Exhibition dates: 14 October - until early December

There are over 100 exhibits in total,which have been provided mainly by private collectors in Irkutsk.

The Irkutsk Regional Art Museum created in the memory of V.P.Sukachev itself is worth visiting too. It is the largest assembly of paintings, graphics, sculptures and samples of decorative - applied art in Siberia. The collection contains a small but extremely rare assembly of monuments to paleolithic art in the Baikal region and one of the most significant collections of icons and wooden sculpture from the 15-18th centuries.
