Update 31 March 2014 12:10

Your safety is our highest priority and is central to the preparation and arrangement of all our tours. We can assure you that Go Russia is closely monitoring the latest political developments around the world. With great regret we have to stop sales for all tours to Ukraine including Crimea until further notice, however we continue operate our tours in Russia and Trans-Mongolian journeys as usual.

We continue taking bookings for tours to Russia and trips along the Trans-Mongolian Railway. We help with all visa formalities. There are no visa restricions and all visa applications are processed in a normal way.

Russia welcomes foreign tourists and the situation is stable. There is no need to worry when you join a group tour organised by Go Russia, just have common sense like when travelling to any other destination. The UK Foreign Ministry (FCO) has not changed its travel advice for Russia - https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/russia and does not advise against holiday trips to Russia.

Please see below our policy regarding existing bookings and potential interest for tours to Ukraine.

Customers who are due to travel on a Go Russia tour to Ukraine (including Crimea) in March – May 2014
  • Alternative arrangements. All customers who have booked and paid their tours in full that include Ukraine are offered alternative travel arrangements – normally our Great Russian Discover Tour (CB-06) which involves travelling to Russia only. Besides Moscow and St. Petersburg you will also have a chance to experience Russian province and enjoy the local way of life.
  • Cancellation. You have the right to cancel your travel arrangements as per our booking conditions. We strongly advise to take alternative arrangements offered by Go Russia to minimise any potential financial loss.
Customers who are due to travel on a Go Russia tour to Ukraine (including Crimea) after May 2014
We are monitoring the situation and at the moment we are not cancelling any tours to Ukraine due to depart after April 2014. We really hope that the situation will stabilise by then. Once there is a clearer picture of political situation in Ukraine we will advise you of your options. We think the best option under the circumstances is to wait and to see how the situations is progressing.

Customers who are interested in going to Ukraine
We can take provisional bookings for all departure dates after May 2014.
