CARNIVAL - BLINI WEEK - IN MOSCOW In the middle of February Russia celebrates the end of the long winter with a famous traditional carnival week, the “Blini Week” or “Maslenitsa”. Anyone visiting Moscow around this time can enjoy a different programme and rituals every day, as well as many traditional games for all ages. As always the highlight of the week is the burning of the huge scarecrow, as the symbol of the departing winter. Please join us for this celebration!
