Visa & Entry Requirements


General

No visa is required for match spectators travelling to Russia for the world cup to be held from 14 June to 15 July 2018 in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saransk, Volgograd. Football fans can use their identity documents together with their spectator pass (FAN-ID, see below) for multiple visa-free entry/exit to/from the Russian Federation during the period that starts ten days before the date of the first match and ends ten days after the date of the last match, i.e. 04 June - 25 July 2018.
 

Conditions of Visa Free Travel for World Cup

Foreign citizens travelling to Russia for World Cup must be in possession of the following documents to be admitted to Russia without visa:
  • Valid identity document (passport). Your identity document should be valid for a minimum period of six months after the expiry date of your Fan-ID;
  • Personalised card of the spectator also known as a “Fan ID”.

What is a FAN-ID?

A FAN ID is a document that all the spectators of the matches must have to get access to the stadiums. This is a small laminated card containing personal details and the photo of its holder.
 
To get a Fan-id you need to have a ticket for a match or the document which entitles you to get a match ticket.
 
You need to register on the dedicated website, submit your personal details and the photo and once your application has been approved you can collect your FAN-ID from a VFS Global Visa Application Centre in your country or get it by post.
